The Exciting Position:


Reporting to the EVP of Operations, the
Technical Manager, will be responsible for overall Technical, Service and delivery while, overseeing technical services calls, maintenance, demos and logistics to ensure that all our professional (delivery and maintenance) expectations are met while providing excellent end user support in the most efficient manner possible.

Position Tasks and Responsibilities:


  • Manages a team of North American technical consultants to ensure quality and ontime technical implementations, working with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensures the successful installation and testing of SharpLight's medical devices across North America with the support of local field technicians
  • Manages site operations including thirdparty contractors and efficient daytoday operations of all Technical and maintenance functions
  • Creates and executes the regular maintenance project
  • Proactively identifies and troubleshoots problems with implementation or efficiency
  • Trains contractors and team members on the required technical skills to complete set up and/or technical troubleshooting
  • Staying atop of emerging technologies and methods for creating and supporting worldclass solutions
  • Interact and support the SharpCare Division in providing the SharpLight Superior Experience to partners
  • Conducts quality assurance tests and onsite technical service calls
  • Manages regulatory protocols for material control & nonconformance
  • Provides assistance with demonstrations and events
  • Assigns, directs, prioritizes and reviews activities in terms of group resourcing, planning, budgeting and scheduling
  • Facilitates interdepartmental collaboration for the purpose of ensuring technical activities are executed as planned
  • Motivate teams to document solutions and contribute to internal knowledge base
  • Demonstrate thought leadership to resolve customer and business challenges; proactively address service escalations
  • Participate in the company's internal, departmental, and crossdepartmental initiatives.

Qualifications and Skills

Required Education & Experience:


  • College diploma in Electronics
  • Experience in building and leading effective teams
  • 5+ years in Technical Consultant role
  • Excellent partner relationship and service acumen
  • Modern problem solving and root cause analysis
  • Ability to conduct and document team's performance to meet company standards for professionalism, attendance, and work targets
  • Ability to provide direction to multiple projects, internal and external stakeholders, and manage competing priorities
  • Excellent organization, communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to translate issues into business impacts and propose solutions that produce a winwin outcome
  • Ability to coach and mentor technical consultants on solution delivery, consulting, and change control tools and techniques
  • Promotes and ensures team adherence to Implementation methodology, best practice guidelines
  • Lift 50kgs (110lbs)

$70,000.00-$75,000.00 per year

  • AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (required)

  • Electrical experience: 7 years (required)

  • Laser Machine or Electronics: 2 years (preferred)
