    Component Delivery Manager – Peterborough, Ontario, Canada (Onsite)

    About the Opportunity

    Westinghouse Electric Canada is a leading supplier of custom equipment, process systems and engineering consultant services for the Nuclear industry in Canada. The successful candidate will join an innovative team that supports Westinghouse's mission to provide clean energy solutions. As a part of our growing operation in Peterborough, the successful candidate will be responsible for oversight and coordination of all activities related to delivery of large manufacturing projects.

    What will you do?

    Your day to day:

  • Managing delivery of project manufacturing activities and deliverables to ensure customer commitments are met.
  • Leading cross-functional teams in delivering high-quality products within cost and schedule commitments
  • Accountability for project team's performance with respect to project cost and schedule commitments
  • Initiate and lead appropriate escalations related to any project health concerns
  • Responsibility for planning and reporting processes related to project delivery ( schedule updates, resource forecast, etc)
  • Communicate project status to internal WEC stakeholders
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives within the Manufacturing operations that focus on productivity, cost improvement and/or streamlining planning and execution activities.
  • Work closely with leaders of the various functional departments to ensure adequate resources are allocated to projects as needed.

    • What will you bring?

    Who you are:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the nuclear industry (manufacturing, engineering, or construction)
  • 3+ years of relevant leadership experience (preferably leadership of cross-functional teams)
  • Successful completion of a post-secondary diploma/degree in a relevant technical field
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and comfortable leading meetings and giving presentations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, experience working effectively in a team environment.
  • Able to quickly manage changing priorities, assess multiple solutions to establish the most effective path forward and adapt project activities to respond

    • Preferred:

  • PMP certification
  • in relevant field
  • Proficiency in P6 (or similar scheduling software) is a strong asset
  • Proficiency in SAP (or similar ERP software) is a strong asset
