    Description

    Overview:

    The Engineer is a fully qualified and accredited engineering professional who applies theoreticaland practical knowledge to provide engineering design, estimating, planning, and qualitymanagement services for low to medium complexity projects and/or operations safely, withquality, within budget, and on time.

    What you will be doing?

    • Minimum 4 years as a civil-structural engineer in Canada.
    • Collaborates well working in a multi-discipline team.
    • Thorough knowledge and experience in design related to Distribution plant includingU/G and O/H - may include feasibility studies, preliminary design, detailed design, fieldwork, etc.
    • Thorough knowledge and experience in assessment and mitigation of adverse siteconditions related to Distribution plant damage and rehabilitation
    • Thorough working knowledge of common industry practices, analysis and designsoftware
    • Thorough understanding of safety in the field / thorough understanding ofenvironmental effects and impacts of existing conditions, construction activities, andpermanent installations
    • Familiar with MMCD, MoTI Utilities Manual, CoV Utilities Design Manual, etc. and codesand design requirements of Authorities Having Jurisdiction.
    What you need to have?

    • University graduate in applied science or engineering
    • Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or Professional Geoscientist (P.Geo.) withEngineers & Geoscientists BC or with another jurisdiction and eligible for registration assuch with Engineers & Geoscientists BC
    • Our client uses a Digital Sign and Seal Technology. You may be required to subscribe to adigital seal technology service offered by Notarius
    • Familiarity with CAD systems and drawing standardsAbility to use standard industrydesign/analysis software
    • Intermediate MS Office skills (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
    • Intermediate English skills for professional environment, written and spoken
