    Description

    Senior PowerBI Developer

    Apex Systems is a global IT services provider, and our staffing practice has an opening for a Senior PowerBI Developer with extensive PowerBI, SQL, and data visualization experience to place at our client, a Big Five Bank.

    • Client: Big Five Bank
    • Terms: 6-month rolling contract
    • Location: Hybrid – 3 days in office at First Canadian Place, Toronto.

    Job Description:

    • Understands and articulates the business case of business questions and the estimated value being delivered.
    • Designs dashboards and provides analysis, and appropriate visualization and analytics tools to use.
    • Identifies trends and patterns to address identified business questions and provides insights through reporting and data visualization techniques.
    • Works with other data and analytics professionals to optimize, refine, automate, and scale analysis into repeatable analytics solutions and decision support tools.

    Role Responsibilities:

    • Build various reporting dashboards using the most appropriate data extraction, data cleaning and data visualization techniques.
    • Provide value through insights, reporting and data visualization techniques. Selects, configures, and implements analytics solutions for consistency and repeatability.
    • Research and apply continuous improvement in data visualization by identifying trends and patterns to transform raw data into actionable business insights.
    • Works with different teams, management, and stakeholders to enhance the usability and aesthetic appeal of data analytics solutions deployed in the organization.
    • Develop data visualizations of large amounts of data that facilitate the intuitive presentation of data to decision makers.
    • Document data flow, systems, and processes to improve the design, implementation, and management of business/group processes.

    Key Qualifications:

    • 3-6 years' experience as a Power BI Developer.
    • 3-6 years' experience with SQL.
    • Intermediate To Advanced Power BI Skills
    • Building and publishing Data Sources; Dax Coding / Developing Measures
    • Developing Interactive Visualizations; Adding and Managing Slicers, Parameters, Drill-Throughs; Developing Background Designs
    • Previous experience in Requirements Gathering, and Data Mining
    • Previous experience in a major Financial Institution
    • Previous experience with Salesforce.

    Interview Process: Interviews will take place in two rounds during the same week this month.
