    Position Summary

    Join our dynamic team as a Solutions Analyst II, where you'll play a pivotal role in driving the delivery of innovative business solutions and the maintenance of existing systems. As a key contributor, you'll tackle programming assignments of medium complexity and provide analysis services for smaller projects, ensuring alignment with business requirements and standards. Reporting to the Business Solutions Coordinator, you'll collaborate closely with stakeholders to develop, test, and implement enhancements while staying abreast of emerging IT trends and best practices. If you're passionate about leveraging technology to optimize processes and drive business success, we welcome your expertise and enthusiasm to our team. Having experience with Oracle E-Business Suite would be considered an asset for this role.

    Key Duties & Responsibilities

    For programming assignments of medium complexity, this role is responsible for developing business solutions that meet specific business requirements. This includes program design, coding, testing, implementation, and documentation preparation.

    • Support existing business solutions by maintaining, developing, testing, and implementing enhancements, while updating system documentation.
    • Organize work assignments and regularly report progress and status to the immediate supervisor.
    • Coach and mentor other team members to enhance overall effectiveness.
    • Contribute to team efficiency and client satisfaction through leadership, guidance, and training as needed.
    • Follow established standards and procedures in performing duties.
    • Carry out related tasks as necessary.

    Key Qualifications

    • Typically, the educational background includes a university degree in Computer Science or similar field, or a two-year diploma/certificate in Computer Information Systems from a recognized post-secondary institution, coupled with two to three years of relevant experience.
    • Proficiency in contemporary system design and development tools and techniques.
    • Familiarity with current Information Technology Service Management processes.
    • Understanding of prevailing project management standards and procedures.
    • Competence to work in various computer operating environments.
    • Ability to comprehend and respond to guidance from senior staff.
    • Effective teamwork capabilities.
    • Problem-solving skills and logical thinking ability.
    • Capacity to plan, organize, and meet deadlines.
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
    • Capability to work autonomously with limited supervision.

    Working/Other Conditions

    This role may involve being on call and working irregular shifts.

    • The selected candidate may need to undergo a satisfactory criminal record check as per the City of Regina's policy.
    • Evidence of acquired education will be required from successful candidates.
