    PATTERNMAKER

    The Company:

    Two friends wanted to give their wardrobes and the wardrobes of other women something that didn't exist in the market. A blazer, created for her. For them. The foundational element of a wardrobe fit for work or uniquely, for a bit of both.

    So from a place of intuition, the promise of the brand took shape:

    • to create pieces that fit into women's lives. Purposefully.
    • to create pieces that fit into women's wardrobes. Seamlessly.
    • and to create pieces that fit women. Well.

    This promise continues to drive two friends, two designers, two women of many women who desire style that fits.

    The Role:

    You are responsible for digitizing, pattern making, grading and marker making of SMYTHE patterns using the PAD System. This is an in-person position that reports to the Head of Production.

    You Will:

    • Create patterns for new development and facilitate pattern adjustments for new collections using PAD
    • Work closely with Designers, Product Development & Production teams
    • Utilize a solid understanding of fabric characteristics, patterns, fit and design features
    • Finalize patterns for production
    • Grade
    • Create spec sheets and pattern lists for offshore production
    • Lead production marker making

    You Have:

    • 5+ years of post-educational experience in making patterns, grading and marker-making
    • Experience working with PAD is preferred
    • College Degree or Diploma in apparel design and manufacturing
    • Strong knowledge of pattern making, specifically woven garments and tailored blazers
    • The ability to learn quickly, work independently and multi-task
    • Strong organizational skills and are detail-oriented
    • Sewing knowledge and experience is an asset
