    Description
    General Labourer

    The General Labourer position is responsible for performing a variety of tasks for the maintenance department. This position may be responsible for cleaning work areas and equipment performing other tasks as needed. Outdoor work is required.

    Powering Vehicles, Motion, Work, and Lives since 1966.

    QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Some completion of secondary school.
    • Ability to interact with co-workers to exchange information about tasks and to co-ordinate work. Interact with supervisors to receive work orders.
    • Ability to work mainly independently. Work with partners to carry out tasks which require co-operation, such as lifting heavy objects.
    • Possess drive and motivation to learn continuously on the job. Take training in first aid and in the Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS). Take part in in-house training sessions to learn about new products or processes.
    RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Maintenance of the 5S Program through painting lines within the plant as needed.
    • Maintain facilities
    • Outdoor including cutting the grass and shoveling snow
    • Assist with janitorial duties
    • Perform other duties/projects as assigned.
