    We currently have a great opportunity for a Senior IT Business Analyst to be based in our Oakville corporate office or our Nuns' Island office in Montreal, QC. The role reports to the IT Business Partner.

    This is a one-year contract with possibility of extension.

    Job Summary

    IT Senior Business Analyst with projects experience who can contribute to the success of the project team by assisting the business and technical teams through the analysis and implementation of business requirements.

    Will work directly with business units and system vendors to help identify and clarify business needs, facilitating workshops and documenting specific business and functional requirements.

    Work independently or collaboratively with Project managers, Infrastructure and Application teams to implement software, reporting, integration, and automation projects, they should also be able to construct detailed analysis, and design business process flow diagrams.

    Principal Responsibilities

  • Lead process improvement workshops, document current and future state processes and procedures, and ensure manufacturing/engineering/HSE staff is fully informed/trained on business process and technology.
  • Partner with application and infrastructure teams to lead technology implementations and enhancements and roll-up sleeves as needed.
  • Acts as a relationship manager, build strong collaborative relationships with business stakeholders and IT service owners, including IT BPs, Application Delivery Managers, Infrastructure Managers and PMO
  • Able to define personas/stories (use cases), and business requirements - all required for inputs to plan IT initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the IT staff and 3rd party technology providers to resolve issues with the MES, ERP, WMS, CMMS, and other related software applications.
  • Research and evaluate industry trends, best practices, new technologies, and improvements or new releases to our current installed base
  • Help stakeholders develop proposals and advance them through the project intake and assessment process.
  • Liaise with vendors and service providers to select the products or services that best meet company goals in collaboration with the IT and Business Leadership.

    • Qualifications & experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Operational Management, or another relevant discipline for the manufacturing and supply chain industry.
  • Minimum of 5 years' work experience in manufacturing/operations solutioning, project management, process development / improvement and business analysis for a manufacturing and supply chain company.
  • Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Maintenance and Quality systems, CMMS and related manufacturing technologies is an asset.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of strategic use of technology to optimize business objectives.
  • Proven experience facilitating identification of creative solutions.
  • Proven experience conducting business analysis and soliciting, understanding, and verifying business requirements.
  • Able to communicate up and down the management chain, providing the appropriate message to the audience.
  • Proven ability to communicate and explain complex issues in clear, concise, persuasive language both verbally and in writing.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 10%.

    • Technical skills

  • Experience working with Major ERP such as SAP, CMMS, Incident Management, SCADA, or MES systems are an asset.
  • Proficient with Microsoft office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Word) and other illustrative software to present concepts and ideas.
  • CCBA or other Business Analysis certifications, diplomas or training is considered an asset.

    Description du poste

    Analyste principal(e) en TI doté(e) d'expérience en projets et capable de contribuer au succès de l'équipe de projet en aidant les équipes commerciales et techniques à analyser et mettre en œuvre les exigences commerciales.

    En collaboration directe avec les unités opérationnelles et les fournisseurs de systèmes, cette personne aidera à définir précisément les besoins commerciaux en animant des ateliers et en documentant les exigences commerciales et fonctionnelles particulières.

    Travaillant de façon autonome ou en collaboration avec les gestionnaires de projet et les équipes d'infrastructure et d'applications pour mettre en œuvre des projets de logiciels, de production de rapports, d'intégration et d'automatisation, elle doit également être en mesure d'élaborer des analyses détaillées et de concevoir des diagrammes de flux de processus d'affaires.

    Activités principales

  • Diriger des ateliers d'amélioration des processus, consigner les processus et procédures actuels et futurs, et veiller à ce que le personnel de la fabrication, de l'ingénierie et de SSE soit pleinement informé et formé sur les processus d'affaires et la technologie.
  • Travailler en partenariat avec les équipes responsables des applications et de l'infrastructure pour diriger les mises en œuvre et les améliorations technologiques et mettre la main à la pâte, au besoin.
  • Agir à titre de gestionnaire des relations d'affaires, établir de solides relations de collaboration avec les parties prenantes de l'entreprise et les propriétaires de services informatiques, y compris les partenaires en TI, les gestionnaires de livraison d'applications, les gestionnaires d'infrastructure et le bureau de gestion des projets.
  • Définir des personnes concernées, des scénarios (cas d'utilisation) et des exigences commerciales, qui sont des éléments nécessaires pour contribuer à la planification des initiatives informatiques.
  • Collaborer avec le personnel des TI et les fournisseurs de technologie tiers pour résoudre les problèmes liés aux applications de MES, de PGI, de systèmes de gestion d'entrepôt et de CMMS et d'autres applications logicielles connexes.
  • Rechercher et évaluer les tendances du secteur, les pratiques d'excellence, les nouvelles technologies et les améliorations ou nouvelles versions pour notre parc informatique actuel.
  • Aider les parties prenantes à élaborer des propositions et à les faire progresser dans le processus de réception et d'évaluation des projets.
  • Assurer la liaison avec les fournisseurs afin de sélectionner les produits ou les services qui répondent le mieux aux objectifs de la compagnie, en collaboration avec la direction des TI et de l'entreprise.

    • Connaissances et compétences nécessaires

  • Baccalauréat en informatique, en ingénierie, en gestion d'exploitation ou dans une discipline connexe du secteur de la fabrication et des chaînes d'approvisionnement, d'une institution agréée.
  • Au moins cinq ans d'expérience professionnelle dans la fabrication, la recherche de solutions d'exploitation, la gestion de projet, l'élaboration et l'amélioration de processus ainsi que l'analyse opérationnelle pour une compagnie de fabrication et de services de chaîne d'approvisionnement.
  • Expérience des systèmes d'exécution de la fabrication (MES), des systèmes d'entretien et de qualité, des CMMS et des technologies de fabrication connexes, un atout.
  • Connaissance avérée de l'utilisation stratégique de la technologie pour optimiser les objectifs d'affaires.
  • Capacité avérée à faciliter la découverte de solutions originales.
  • Expérience avérée en analyse d'entreprise et en recherche, compréhension et vérification des exigences commerciales.
  • Capacité à communiquer en amont et en aval de la chaîne de gestion, en transmettant le message approprié au public visé.
  • Capacité avérée à communiquer et à expliquer des problèmes complexes dans un langage clair, concis et convaincant, à l'oral comme à l'écrit.
  • Excellentes compétences en communication orale et écrite.
  • Après la COVID : Capacité à voyager jusqu'à 10 % du temps.

    • Compétences techniques

  • Expérience pratique des principaux progiciels de gestion intégrés, comme SAP, CMMS, Incident Management, SCADA ou MES, un atout.
  • Maîtrise de la suite Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Visio et Word) et d'autres logiciels d'illustration pour présenter des concepts et des idées.
  • CCBA ou autres certifications, diplômes ou formations en analyse commerciale, un atout.
