Position Purpose:

The Marketing Specialist is responsible for creating and managing high quality marketing content for Alectra Energy Solutions (AES) and its various lines of business. Reporting to the Manager, Marketing, this role is instrumental in the design, development and execution of strategic marketing plans that contribute to the overall growth and success of the organization.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

· Design and develop key strategic marketing tactics across a variety of channels for AES and various lines of business

· Execute digital media campaigns, print production, web development and video production

· Create high quality content for social media, web copy, case studies, brochures etc.

· Media planning for digital and social media campaigns

· Plans and executes targeted paid online marketing campaigns across a variety of digital channels

· Create and manage an active content calendar and library of digital assets

· Own and manage the Alectra Energy Solutions website, from content updates to functionality improvements to analytics reports

· Coordinates the distribution of content on Alectra's owned and earned channels

· Implement and manage blocking charts to ensure timely completion of all tasks

· Champions the brand by maintaining an expert understanding of, and working within, Alectra's brand standards and corporate policies

· Liaise with different business unit leads to understand current and long-term business needs and objectives

· Maintain a strong understanding of the energy solutions sector including customers and competitors

· Apply the latest available marketing trends, tactics and tools

· Deliver effective vendor and invoice management

· Lead marketing activity management such as webinars, events, conferences and maintain current marketing inventory

· Provide marketing support to other departments, as required

· Ensures compliance to legislative, regulatory and Health & Safety policies, procedures and standards

· Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Competencies:

Education & Specialized Knowledge

· Post-Secondary Degree in Marketing or related field

· Experience with Adobe Suite of products (including Photoshop and/or Illustrator) and Canva

· Proficiency with MS Office applications

· Must hold and maintain a valid class "G" driver's license

Experience

· 5+ years professional marketing experience in a competitive business landscape. Journalism experience is an asset.

· Experience in content writing, graphic design and/or digital content creation

· Experience working with external creative services agencies

· Energy Solutions business experience is an asset

· Thrives in dynamic, changing environment

· Solid problem-solving and analytical skills

· Strong written and presentation skills

· Superior attention to detail and organization skills with the ability to deliver high quality, creative work

· Ability to plan, prioritize and execute multiple projects and initiatives within established timelines

· Ability to build and maintain collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders

· Team player, able to work collaboratively with internal/external stakeholders
