Our model is comprised of local branch teams with fully qualified personnel representing HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing/gas fitting, sheet metal and electrical trades.

These teams are supported by centers of excellence including professional engineers and project managers which ensures Gateway's full technical capability is available for every project and service call.


The Plumbing Apprentice will perform quality maintenance services for our valued clients on commercial and industrial sites while showcasing exceptional customer service skills.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Servicing new and existing accounts by analyzing work orders, investigating complaints, identifying solutions, conducting tests, and resolving problems
  • Troubleshooting issues with all commercial and industrial plumbing equipment
  • Installing or retrofitting equipment as per specifications, customer requests, blueprints or the current building / plumbing codes
  • Inspecting product quality and installation to ensure conformance and customer satisfaction
  • Documenting service and installation actions by completing electronic forms, reports, logs, and records
Other required duties may be assigned that fall within the parameters of the primary responsibility of the position.


Experience & Qualifications/Certifications:


  • 3rd year or higher Plumbing Apprenticeship Certificate
  • Experience working in a commercial setting
  • Available for rotating on call shifts
  • Valid class 5 driver's license with an acceptable 5year driver's abstract
  • Valid safety certifications such as First Aid, Fall Protection, Cross Connection Control, WHMIS, TDG, CSTS, PSTS, AWP, H2S Alive considered an asset
