    Description

    PayShepherd is a growing organization transforming the way heavy industries do business. Our software is a cloud-based billing validation platform that automates the previously manual onerous review of paper based vendor billing. By running analytics over aggregated digital billing our user centric tool ensures 100% contract compliance and elimination of overbilling. We have an aggressive 24 month growth plan and are looking to build a great team who can execute on the vision.     The Role

    This role will report directly to the Director of Technology and will be responsible for executing on the product roadmap for PayShepherd.

    Responsibilities:

    Custom software development solutions in PHP/Laravel and MySQL

    Create of automated tests for projects developed with Laravel

    Create REST-based APIs to integrate solutions third parties

    Strong understanding of PHPUnit or similar testing framework

    Ability to write effective unit tests which can accelerate deployment timeframes

    Maintain high level of communication with the greater team

    Understand business requirements and map into a functional software product

    Follow to the enterprise architecture roadmap in relation to software development practice

    Requirements:

    Technical College and or University Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or similar (3+ years)

    Minimum 5 years of software development experience in Javascript / PHP / Laravel

    Understanding of MVC architecture

    Strong knowledge of MySQL

    Experience with version control systems such as GIT, VSTS

    Considered an Asset:

    Requirements:

    Experience with PHP Unit testing

    Experience writing web APIs (REST/SOAP)

    Background in Web API Security (OAuth)

    Understanding of agile development methodology, iterative development, and testing

    Location: Alberta Preferred, however for the right candidate we will consider anywhere in Canada
