    We are looking for an Information Governance Specialist to help grow our business and contribute to our future.

    The Information Governance Specialist manages, develops, and uses various tools and techniques to improve the quality, accessibility, and security of information and records. This position will consult on corporate initiatives that require solution-driven approaches to information and data management across ISC and its subsidiaries, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.

    Reporting to Director, Governance, other highlights include:

  • Develop and maintain data and information management policies, procedures, and standards to ensure data integrity, security, and quality that address the organization's information management and compliance requirements.
  • Oversee the Information Governance Framework
  • Act as a subject matter expert in a specialized function to develop, implement, coach and assist management staff in the administration and interpretation of records and information management policies; providing advice that is appropriate, practical and consistent with relevant legislation, regulations, laws and/or industry standards.
  • Actively manage corporate record lifecycles through the use of various technologies across ISC and its subsidiaries.
  • Analyze, design, and implement information systems to support business functions and client requirements.
  • Communicate and collaborate with different departments or stakeholders to understand their information needs and provide solutions.
  • Lead and/or participate in cross-functional projects to provide functional expertise for corporate and departmental technology initiatives focusing on information lifecycle management.
  • Provide support functions related to the Information Security Management System as well as ISC and subsidiary boards.

    • What you'll need:

  • A university degree or diploma with 5 years related work experience in information governance and management, business system analysis and compliance.
  • A Certified Information Professional, Certified Records Manager or Certified Information Privacy Professional designation would be considered an asset.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of information governance principles and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience in, or exposure to information security and information risk management practices and processes.
