    The Opportunity
    Mosaic is seeking a Treasury Accountant to work out of our Vancouver office in British Columbia.

    The Role
    Reporting to the Senior Manager, Corporate Finance & Treasury, the Treasury Accountant will support the banking and treasury functions for the Mosaic Managed group of Companies and supports Corporate Finance in daily operations.

    Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Monitoring and managing daily cash management activities, funding and depositing activities across multiple entities;
  • Accounting for treasury transactions in the accounting system and preparing daily and monthly bank reconciliations;
  • Supporting month-end close processes and exception/variance reporting;
  • Supporting month-end intercompany transaction balance recording, review, and settlement
  • Liaising and transacting with various banking partners, debt issuers, and foreign exchange traders;
  • Preparing and monitoring short and long-term cash forecasting models;
  • Preparing multiple currency cheque runs, ACH payment runs and wire payments;
  • Preparing and monitoring letters of credit, bankers' acceptances, bank interest and bank fees;
  • Maintaining and updating bank signatory documents and banking application administration;
  • Supporting the year end audit process;
  • Assisting with indirect tax filings and remittances;
  • Standardizing and improving processes related to treasury, forecasting, and related accounting transactions; and
  • Supporting special projects.

    • Required Skills and Experience

  • Degree, diploma, certificate and/or designation in Finance, Accounting or equivalent;
  • 5+ years' related work experience with exposure to treasury, finance or accounting;
  • Experience with automated payment processes;
  • Strong attention to detail and strong organizational and analytical skills;
  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills;
  • Demonstrated professionalism and a team player;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word; and
  • Experience working in an integrated accounting system (ie., Microsoft Dynamics AX2012 or D365 preferred) and/or exposure to working in a multi-entity environment and/or forest industry experience will be considered an asset.

    Compensation
     The annual salary range for this position is $60,000 to $74,800. Individual compensation is commensurate with skill, relevant experience, and education.
