- University education (undergraduate degree at minimum, graduate degree preferred) in manufacturing engineering and/or science OR Post-Secondary Education (Undergraduate Degree or Community College Diploma) in the one of the following:
- Engineering
- Manufacturing (Tooling)
- 2-3 years' experience in manufacturing/tooling; program management experience; P.M.P. designation preferred
- P.Eng designation preferred
- MRP/ERP system build, implementation, and support experience (automotive industry preferred).
- Comprehension of the English language
- Excellent English communication and written
- Excellent organizational skills, and attention to detail
- Strong time management skills
- Thorough understanding of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
- Working knowledge of CAD software (AutoCAD, Solidworks, Catia, UG)
- Act as project lead within our APQP process
- Developing and implementing process control techniques and procedures into manufacturing environments.
- Analysing manufacturing process flows continually for the enhancement of quality, cost reduction and throughput.
- Conferring with vendors in determining product specifications and arranging equipment, parts, material purchase, and evaluating products accordingly to quality standards and specifications.
- Work with manufacturing department to develop, coordinate, and implement technical training for employees.
- Assist and monitor all project goals.
- Assist development and conduct project feasibility studies for designs and achieve key milestone dates.
- Developing manufacturing processes for enhancements, product changes, and new products, and related fixtures and tooling that are consistent with zero defect level and low product cost.
- Providing engineering support in production department to trouble shoot and resolve technical problems.
- Recommend and prepare release documents for prototypes, new projects, pilots, engineering changes.
- Requisition tooling, capital and try out material for projects.
- Provide customer support on an as needed basis.
- Follow up all facets of the project from die status to cell layout, launch and run at rate.
- Assist in preparing Quotations.
- Value analysis and value engineering ideas.

- Monitor and assist suppliers on meeting project goals.
- Asses and implement continuous improvement projects in relation to current or future project planning.
