    Description
    Senior Advisor, IFRS & External Reporting
    Our client is seeking a Senior Advisor, IFRS & External Reporting to join their team in Calgary.

    This role will provide support and oversight for assessments relating to embedded derivatives and financial instruments and related valuations and provide oversight of IFRS 15 Revenues and IFRS 16 Leases.

    A successful candidate will be accountable for advising on select complex accounting issues arising from business transactions, new transactions, new accounting pronouncements, and maintaining quality and compliance across financial statements entities.

    Identify and research complex technical accounting issues, including those that may arise from new accounting standards.

    Work closely with finance teams, auditors, legal advisors, and other stakeholders to gather financial data and ensure accurate reporting.

    Prepare and provide IFRS training to the finance teams and accounting and settlements teams as required.
    Identify opportunities to streamline financial reporting processes and enhance efficiency while maintaining compliance.
    Develop and implement an annual business plan for complex accounting, and accounting policies.
    Complete special projects as required.
    Bachelor's degree and CPA
