    Job Description

    Sur la base d'un projet spécifique, ce poste sera placé sous la responsabilité d'un chef
    de projet désigné. Des relations de travail seront établies avec tous les secteurs de
    l'entreprise qui utilisent des talents internes sur la base d'un projet.

  • Planifier, exécuter, surveiller, contrôler et diriger la réalisation de projets spécifiques
  • Diriger les sessions de planification des projets
  • Élaborer et mettre en œuvre des politiques, des normes et des procédures spécifiques au domaine des services d'ingénierie, et veiller à leur application
  • Coordonner le personnel et gérer les ressources afin d'atteindre les objectifs de manière efficace
  • Préparer le budget en fonction de l'étendue des travaux et des besoins en ressources
  • Suivre les coûts du projet afin de respecter le budget
  • Préparer, examiner ou approuver les procédures d'installation, les plans de coordination des travaux, les procédures d'essai et les plans de mise en service afin d'assurer la réussite de la mise en œuvre du projet
  • Examiner les rapports d'ingénierie conceptuels et préliminaires pour s'assurer qu'ils
  • sont conformes à la portée technique globale des travaux, au coût et au calendrier et demander des révisions si nécessaire
  • Gérer les relations avec les clients et les parties prenantes
  • Fournir une expertise technique et des conseils à l'équipe et aux clients en ce qui concerne l'interprétation des informations de conception et la méthode de travail pour répondre aux exigences du projet et respecter les délais et les budgets impartis
  • Optimiser et améliorer l'exécution du projet et procéder aux ajustements nécessaires
  • S'assurer que les objectifs organisationnels et opérationnels d'AFRY sont alignés sur la gestion quotidienne du département de gestion de projet/ingénierie de projet

    • On a project specific basis, this position will report to a designated Project Manager. Working relationships will exist with all areas of the firm utilizing in-house talent on a project basis.

  • Assist in the development of written project plans establishing the project "charter" definition and scope of work, cost, and schedule parameters.
  • Ensure compliance with scope, schedule, budget, and quality requirements.
  • Serve as client liaison, including initiating and participating in meetings and conferences, having the authority to speak for the company.
  • Supervise and coordinate personnel assigned to the project team. Direct supervision may include discipline leads, other engineering consultants, home office and/or resident construction management, and project support service personnel including procurement, project control, estimating, scheduling and administration.
  • Ensure proper documentation of meetings, agreements, and conversations which may affect contract commitments.
  • Coordinate the receipt of all information coming into the office on a project and disseminate it to the design team and others as appropriate.
  • Coordinate the work between engineering disciplines, where required, for project continuity.
  • Assist with the preparation of project monthly reports.
  • Coordinate preparation of earned value reports.
  • Coordinate preparation of resource loading plans.

    • Qualifications

  • Baccalauréat dans une discipline d'ingénierie et expérience connexe en ingénierie.
  • Au moins 8 ans d'expérience en ingénierie, dont au moins 5 ans à des postes de direction dans le cadre de projets.
  • Une bonne connaissance des procédures et des systèmes de comptabilité, d'estimation et de planification des projets est souhaitée.
  • L'inscription à un ordre professionnel en tant qu'ingénieur ou architecte est souhaitée.
  • La certification PMP est un atout
  • Solides compétences en communication écrite et orale, avec la capacité de faire des présentations efficaces aux clients et aux groupes techniques
  • Solides compétences informatiques dans les logiciels pertinents, tels que Word, Excel, Access, Adobe, Outlook et Windows.
  • Personne capable de prendre les choses en main et de gérer plusieurs projets ou un seul projet de grande envergure.
  • Capacité à travailler sous pression, tant de manière indépendante qu'au sein d'une équipe pluridisciplinaire.
  • Capacité à se rendre occasionnellement sur les sites des projets pour l'inspection et la collecte de données.
  • Français et anglais (parlé et écrit).

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering discipline and related engineering experience.Minimum 8 years of engineering experience with a minimum of 5 years of leadership roles within projects.Familiarity with project accounting, estimating, and scheduling procedures and systems is preferred.Professional registration as an engineer or architect is (certified project management professional) (an asset)Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to make effective presentations to clients and technical computer-based skills in relevant software programs, such as Word, Excel, Access, Adobe, Outlook and take-charge individual with the ability to handle multiple projects, or one large projectAble to work under pressure, both independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary teamAbility to occasionally travel to project sites for inspection and data collectionFrench and English (spoken and written).
