Description
We are hiring a Financial Accounting Officer for our client in the Fraser valley area.Our client is looking for a detail-oriented individual with a CPA designation(Acquisition or near acquisition of CPA Designation) and a minimum of 2 years of experience in General Accounting.
Completes bank, GL, and investment reconciliations.Prepares for annual audits, including detailed working papers.
Collaborates with Finance Department to ensure GAAP compliance.
Maintains accurate budget figures in accounting software.
Reviews Accounts Payable Statements for payment processing.
Ensures security and confidentiality of financial data.
Meets reporting requirements for federal and provincial programs.
Assists in managing SFN property tax regime and identifies and recommends improvements in accounting processes.
Utilizes accounting software and Excel functions for efficiency.
Performs other accounting and administrative duties as needed.
Minimum 2 years of experience in General Accounting.
Proficiency in financial processes including AP, AR, and reconciliations.
Knowledge of office procedures and document processing.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Zoom, Go-To Meetings, power Query, Power BI.
Experience working with First Nations communities and/or organizations is beneficial.
