    LOCATION:

    The role of LeadKids Pastor is an oversight and leadership role casting vision for the CT Kidsministry and CT Kids team aligning with the overall church vision and missionset by the Lead Pastor.

    This roledemonstrates leadership by working alongside the team understanding the innerworkings of each area within the kids' ministry.

    The Lead Kids Pastorwill create and oversee the welcome and check-in process for kids as well as anew family assimilation process.

    The LeadKids Pastor must always be prepared to step in and teach within the ministryand help with stage transitions or speaking in service for various elementswhen asked.

    This role will work to bringa cohesive and smooth connection for our families between Kids ministry andStudent ministry.

    Weinvest in our staff to develop their skills, so they thrive in their roles aswell as focusing on helping them to develop spiritually.

    5-7 years' experience working kids ministry orrelated kids environment

    • Performreligious/spiritual functions of the church

    A Cross Timbers Church pastor will become a part ofthe Pastor On-Call rotation cycle which helps the organization accomplish andmeet the needs of various pastoral aspects in the life and ministry of thechurch.

    Provide direction and support for the Kids ministryhelping to develop the strategy and processes to set and achieve annual goalsand objectives that align with the vision and mission of the church

    • Lead in maintaining a fresh and relevant approachfor reaching and encouraging new children, and families in their relationshipwith Jesus and becoming active in the life and ministry of the church
    • Oversight and direction of the Parent Cue as aresource tool for families within the Kids ministry
    • Oversight & team delegation and director of kids'events as well as parent resources and related
    • Oversee that all areas of CT Kids align with theOrange strategy including but not limited to curriculum execution and function
    • Lead the new family assimilation process inconjunction with the Kids Team. Thiswould include but is not limited to developing a Serve Team (volunteers) tosupport this process greeting new families entering through the main lobby orthe CT Kids lobby as well as the CT Kids check-in for our current families
    • Oversight of baptism for the Kids ministry whichincludes but is not limited to meeting with kids and parents to further the understandingof baptism and then facilitate baptism during a service when the decision tofollow Jesus is made by a child
    • Ownership of Baby Dedication including stagepresentation twice a year during the main services; Help identify, recruit, train, and lead Serve Team
    • Help the Kids team develop a process that allowsthem to attend service on a rotation.
    • Supervise and manage the Kids team including butnot limited to regular 1:1 meetings with direct reports, providingopportunities for growth and development through clear and simple goals,responsibilities and expectations

The established work week is Sunday through Saturday for payrollpurposes and is based upon a 40-hour work week. Full-time staff work weeks are categorized by position as Monday –Friday or Sunday–Thursday. This role maybe approved for a flex schedule which include the potential for 1-2 days remoteworking with the remainder of the workdays in-office. The hours listed below are generalized work hoursand may or may not be done in the office depending on the needs of the positionand approval of the manager on any given day. Employees must understand that ministry does not always fall within anormal schedule and working outside of that schedule can periodically includingweekends, evenings and holidays for CT sponsored events that are essential(required). Additional hours outside thenormal scope of the role such as these will be coordinated with the manager andmay be accommodated with comp time and/or a temporary adjustment to the normalschedule.

    • o Sunday 7a.m. - o Sunday 1p.m. - All full-time employees are required to attendessential staff meetings/functions. Allemployees will have various essential (required) workdays such as Christmas andEaster services and possibly the week leading up to each holiday or surroundingother essential functions/events. The schedule for these services or otherspecial events (in-person or digital) can vary according to the needs and theyearly calendar as determined by Leadership. Work is generally performed indoors but mayinvolve limited exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
