McMillan has an exciting opportunity for a one year contract as a Legal Administrative Assistant in our Montreal Commercial Real Estate Group.
As a member of the team, you will play a key role in managing the legal and administrative aspects of the practices of four successful legal professionals.
What You'll Do
You will be the go to person for your team who will depend on your guidance and support to keep them organized.
supporting the day-to-day requirements of three lawyers and one notary with their general real estate practices, with emphasis on financing, acquisition and disposition, development and condominium; preparing/drafting and revising first drafts of daily correspondence financing and documentation; preparing/drafting reports to clients, including assembly of closing books; financing and documentation and reports from precedents; drafting documents and preparing off-title enquiries including taxes, indexes (Registre foncier); handling all administrative details with respect to filing, accounting, docketing and expenses; maintaining schedules and calendars; opening and closing files as required.
What You Bring
You have established yourself as a key resource in your successful legal career. Your history includes a minimum of five years' experience as a legal assistant, in a Commercial Real Estate setting. You have strong administrative, organizational and interpersonal skills.
You are detail-oriented and are able to effectively meet deadlines, work well in a team setting, and provide an exceptional level of client service.
You embrace evolving technology and have strong skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Prior experience with Desksite, IntApp, and 3E or similar document management, file opening and accounting software required.McMillan Offers You
