    Description

    About SNDL: SNDL is the biggest private sector liquor and cannabis retailer in Canada, operating under retail banners like Ace Liquor, Wine and Beyond, Liquor Depot, Value Buds, and Spiritleaf.

    As a licensed cannabis producer, SNDL also houses cutting-edge indoor grow-op facilities to cater to both wholesale and retail customers. The cannabis brand portfolio includes Top Leaf, Sundial, Palmetto, Spiritleaf Selects, and Grasslands.

    SNDL's investment portfolio is focused on deploying strategic capital through direct and indirect investments and partnerships within the global cannabis industry.

    Reporting to the Vice President of Business Technology Operations, the Manager of Business Technology (BT) Security and Compliance plays a key role in overseeing the day-to-day operations and enhancement of a 24/7 BT Security & Compliance team for all SNDL Business Units and banners.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Provide leadership, direction, and supervision to Security and Compliance analysts
    • Define clear responsibilities and expectations, ensuring accountability and high-quality output
    • Promote team building and open-door communication

    The Manager will collaborate with various departments to design and maintain incident response plans in case of security breaches or cyber-attacks.

    Key Initiatives:

    • Technology Policy Development: Enforce security policies in line with industry standards
    • Risk Assessment: Prioritize security risks and vulnerabilities
    • Security Architecture: Safeguard against cyber threats
    • Security Awareness Training: Educate employees on data protection best practices
    • Compliance: Ensure adherence to data protection laws and regulations
    • Security Tools Management: Oversee security tools deployment
    • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on cybersecurity best practices

    Skills Required:

    • 5+ years experience in IT security and compliance management
    • Degree in Computer Science or related field
    • Knowledge of Microsoft 365 security solutions
    • Experience with security products like Firewalls, IDS/IPS, and Endpoint Protection
    • Analytical skills and attention to detail
