    Construction Law Lawyer

    Location: Edmonton, Alberta, Canada

    Job Summary:

    A well established law firm specializing in construction law, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Construction Lawyer to join our team in Edmonton, Alberta. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction law and litigation, with expertise in representing clients in various construction related legal matters. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated attorney to contribute to our firm's success and serve our clients in the construction industry.

    Responsibilities:

    • Provide legal counsel and representation to clients on construction law matters, including contract negotiation, disputes resolution, and regulatory compliance.
    • Draft, review, and negotiate construction contracts, subcontracts, and other legal documents.
    • Handle construction litigation, arbitration, and mediation proceedings.
    • Conduct legal research and analysis on complex construction law issues.
    • Collaborate with clients, contractors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to address legal challenges and achieve favorable outcomes.
    • Stay abreast of relevant laws, regulations, and industry developments in the construction sector.

    Qualifications:

    • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
    • Admission to the Law Society of Alberta and in good standing.
    • Minimum of 3 of experience practicing construction law, with a focus on litigation.
    • Strong knowledge of construction contracts, lien law, and industry standards.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast paced legal environment.
