    Description

ISS Corporate Solutions (ICS) seeks a seasoned Corporate GHG Management Expert to spearhead and advance our flourishing climate-focused solutions. As a vital team member, you will wield your extensive expertise in GHG accounting and climate change disclosure frameworks to drive transformative initiatives.

Your pivotal role centers on orchestrating and overseeing client advisory undertakings on climate change management, GHG accounting, target setting, and disclosure. Notably, this encompasses the application of prominent frameworks like TCFD (now part of the IFRS standards) and other pertinent standards.

Our ideal candidate combines their technical prowess in GHG accounting and climate change management with a fusion of innovation, education, and industry insight. This dynamic combination propels strategic planning and seamless execution across project lifecycles.

Furthermore, you will play an integral part in advancing ICS software platforms. This entails harmonizing assorted data sources and existing product platforms into a cohesive, compelling, and unrivaled suite of tools and services tailored for ICS' core markets. Your responsibilities span a spectrum of critical tasks: distilling and prioritizing product and client prerequisites via astute market research and direct engagement, shaping the product's overarching vision, prototyping, and testing innovations, and orchestrating a symphony of cooperative endeavors across Product and Project Management, Research, Development, Client Advisory, Sales, and Marketing.

Join us in shaping the future of corporate climate responsibility, leveraging your profound proficiency to empower organizations and drive impactful change.

    Responsibilities

  • Lead the development, scoping, and delivery of GHG accountings and complimentary climate-related advisory services for corporate clients at various stages of climate maturity, including but not limited to developing climate strategies and action plans and supporting TCFD-aligned reporting exercises.
  • Support developing and implementing climate-related software solutions to address dynamic client needs, focusing on GHG accounting, climate transition risk assessment, target setting, and Net Zero.
  • Gather and synthesize abstract and complex details, concepts, and data into discrete and actionable insights.
  • Develop detailed business and functional requirement documents, prototypes, and other supporting materials.
  • Normalize, transform, analyze, and visualize large data sets, including quantitative and qualitative elements.
  • Drive action across distinct and diverse functional teams.
  • Assist in managing the product line life cycle from strategic planning to tactical execution.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and colleagues by providing subject matter expertise for climate-related services and broader ICS Sustainability Solutions.
  • Solicit external market/client feedback on products through user groups, client consultations, and beta programs.
  • Support in the improvement and maintenance of soft infrastructure to enable the research unit's smooth functioning, including process documentation, methodology upgrades, and other enhancements.
  • Requirements

  • Expertise in the GHG Protocol and greenhouse gas inventories, Science-Based Targets and target-setting processes, the TCFD, and other climate-related corporate disclosures.
  • 2-4 years of relevant work experience in climate change and corporate sustainability; data analytics a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Business, Data Science, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Desired Skills and Personal Attributes

  • Demonstrated understanding and interest in climate change and a passion for making a difference.
  • Demonstrated ability to work within an organization to gather data and drive collaboration across functions.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organization with strong problem-solving, prioritization skills, and time management.
  • Experience in data analytics and visualization.
  • Excellent oral and written communication, with the ability to develop and foster client and colleague relationships.
  • Product/project management, market research, trend analysis, technical writing, and presentation skills.
  • Excellent command of Excel and good working knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications.
  • Leadership skills and ability to work well in teams in a cross-functional, global, diverse, and multi-cultural environment.
  • A strong work ethic, self-motivated, and able to work independently and follow through under minimal supervision.
  • Personal and business integrity and drive to achieve product and company goals.
