The Faculty of Forestry at the University of British Columbia-Vancouver campus invites applications for a part-time Lecturer (one year appointment, possibility of renewal) to be involved in delivering undergraduate courses in the programme.
Job Summary
The Lecturer will lead instruction in a number of existing courses in the Faculty of Forestry undergraduate programs, with the subjects likely related to two or more of the following: Indigenous ways of knowing, ecology, law and governance, economics, communication, business management, research and data management methods, and community capacity building.
Qualifications
A graduate degree is not required to be eligible for a lecturer position, but teaching and practical experience is a major asset. Experience with curriculum development, teaching and mentoring students, and excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, would all be of benefit. An interest in innovative and experiential teaching methods is required. Demonstrated experience teaching in both online, and in person environments is critical
