The Corporate Services Branch in the Infrastructure Technology Services within the Ministry of Public and Business Service Delivery (MPBSD) is seeking a collaborative leader to join their team as Team Manager, Procurement.


The Corporate Services Branch provides support to Infrastructure Technology Services (ITS) in operational and results-based planning, accounting, billing, financial management and reporting, product and service costing, and performance measurement.

What can I expect to do in this role?: As the

Team Manager, Procurement, you will:

  • provide leadership, coordinate and manage staff in the planning and delivery of the Branch's strategic and business planning processes/activities for the development of information management systems.
- promote, communicate and champion the use of technical solutions to meet business needs within the I&IT community and convert information management strategies into action.
- manage the operations of the Unit and staff, provide strategic advice/analysis, and manage issues responses and stakeholder relations.
- lead and facilitate the design/implementation of performance measurement, monitoring and reporting techniques/tools to provide ongoing assessment of client satisfaction and business system performance
- manage stakeholder relationships with key partners including providers, ministry, other government colleagues and more.
- represent the Branch/Ministry on internal and external committees/working groups related to data access planning processes and information management deliverables.
- promote and demonstrate commitment to diversity, accessibility and inclusiveness.

Procurement and Contract Knowledge:


  • You have knowledge of procurement principles and practices to provide expert advice and guidance to a team of advisors in the management of procurement initiatives, in planning and managing largescale enterprisewide procurement initiatives, and in developing the appropriate Request for Bid (RFB) specifications and documentation.
  • You have knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research and risk assessment methodologies and techniques to identify, analyze and assess and mitigate risks, and recommend options and solutions.

Specialized Knowledge:
