    Description

    The Electrical Technician/Technologist will prepare engineering drawings for various electrification projects.

    The mentoring and resources made available to you will enable you to develop a strong understanding of electrical design of renewable generation, duct bank design, EV charging stations, and transmission, and low/medium voltage distribution.

    This is a hybrid position based out of our Mississauga, ON office.

    Produce detailed CAD drawings for the electrical design, including Single Line Diagrams, electrical details, wiring diagrams, underground cable details, site layouts for EV charging stations, and other projects as required
    Coordinate with other discipline engineers, designers, and CAD staff as part of a multidisciplinary team
    Complete electrical calculations, cable schedules, demand load calculations, etc.
    Carry out site assessments and surveys, to determine project feasibility
    Prepare site assessment reports, cost estimates, material take-offs
    Electrical Engineering Technician or Technologist Diploma
    Proficient in the use of AutoCAD (SLDs, wiring schematics, elevations, layouts etc.)
    Understanding of basic electrical design
    Strong organizational skills to plan, organize and implement work within a specified budget while meeting the project deadlines
