- Contracts: update and maintain corporate contract management system; complete the revision of master service, non-disclosure, and other standard form agreements; review new client contracts, redline, negotiate, assess the risk, insurance requirements and determine proper coverage; review non-disclosure agreement, leases, vendor credit applications.
- Claims: process claims, as required; maintain records of insurance policies and claims.
- Insurance Renewal: determine proper coverage; client contracts requirements for Brokerage and Transport; broker bond; inbound custom bond; property tenant insurance; cyber insurance.
- Risk Management: perform a risk evaluation; evaluate the company's previous handling of risks and compare potential risks with criteria set out by the company such as costs and legal requirements; explain the external risk posed by corporate governance to stakeholders; build risk awareness amongst staff by providing support and training within the company; create business continuity plans to limit risks.
- Asset/Certifications: asset contract renewal; CTPAT, PIP, Smart way, FAST, CSA.
- Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
- Minimum of 1 year of paralegal or related experience;
- Significant experience with contracts and corporate matters;
- Strong communication skills, and attention to detail;
- Ability to multitask and juggle multiple and sometimes conflicting priorities;
- Curiosity and desire to take on mandates in a variety of subject matter areas;
