    The Writers Guild of Canada, the association representing more than 2,500 professional screenwriters working in English-language in Canada, is looking for an experienced Administrative Assistant at our Adelaide and Spadina office in downtown Toronto.

    This is a one-year contract position working in-office with some remote work possible.

    The Administrative Assistant functions may vary to a large degree – from handling basic administrative support, to providing backup support for other administration assistant positions in the Membership and Industrial Departments.

    Job duties include performance of general office and clerical functions as required by providing organizational support. Order files, stationery and office supplies. Provide administrative support for various departments including Membership, Industrial Department and to the Executive Director
    Provide backup of some other administrative assistant roles during leaves of absence or vacation, including but not limited to:
    Assist with entry of new contracts
    Onboard new members and process credit card payments online
    Enter member and non-member records as required in internal database and ensure proper sync with website
    The position is a one-year, contract, full-time position.
    This position is currently working in-office with some remote work possible. Post-secondary education and/or relevant work experience
    Excel spreadsheet skills, including working with sorting and filtering
    Solid basic math skills
    Excellent written and telephone communication skills
