    Business Analyst - Public Safety Radio Network
    • Contract Duration 6+ Months

    Job Responsibilities:
    • The Business Analyst offers a wide range of IT business analysis services for clients with varied business and technological requirements.
    • Engages with business stakeholders and subject matter experts to grasp their needs by gathering, documenting, and analyzing business requirements.
    • Prepares and advises on business analysis policies, processes, and best practices to foster a comprehensive and consistent business analysis practice within the organization.
    • Participates in developing end-to-end Service Management processes with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Manages IT Service Management Tool records, including Incident, Service Request, Change, Problem, Tasks, CMDB, to ensure proper execution.
    • Assigns ITSM records to the appropriate resource/support areas.
    • Monitors Service Level breaches and performs necessary escalations.
    • Approves draft CRQs submitted by Suppliers and GMCB.
    • Participates in Service Management Governance committees.
    • Provides feedback and updates on process guides and work instructions.
    • Must have a thorough understanding of ITSM processes and ITSM Automation.

    Must Haves:
    • Service management knowledge and experience with an in-depth understanding of various processes and ITIL.
    • Ability to effectively communicate complex business analysis tools and techniques to non-technical audiences.
    • Analytical critical thinking skills and experience working on large-scale telecommunication/IT projects.
    • Experience in IT Service Management Processes/ITIL and collaborating with multiple stakeholders.
    • Bonus: Experience in Public Safety Projects.

    Additional Must Haves:
    • 5+ years of experience with ITSM and as a Business Analyst.
    • ITIL version 3 or higher Certification.
    • Experience with the development of IT Service Management processes.

    Evaluation Criteria:

    ITSM Tools and ITIL Knowledge - 45 points

    • Over 3 years working with ITIL processes and ITIL Foundation V3 certified.
    • Demonstrated understanding of ITSM processes, key Performance Indicators, and ITSM tools.
    • Experience in using Remedy tools, MS Office Suite, and monitoring ITSM Records.
    • Able to accurately translate business problems into technology requirements documents.
    • Experience in delivering various types of documentation and working closely with QA teams.


    Communication and Relationship Management - 40 points

    • Experience in communicating with clients and vendors, leading meetings, and analyzing complex business requirements.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
    • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills, awareness of emerging technology trends.
    • Exceptional Stakeholder management skills and ability to meet deadlines.


    Telecommunications and radio network experience in a large public sector entity - 15 points

    • Knowledge and experience in operational public sector governance models and managing multi-stakeholder projects.
    • Strong experience in the Public Safety Radio/telecom domain and working on large projects.
    • Experience with projects involving large numbers of users and meeting their business requirements.


    Note:

    • Hybrid role- 3-days per week on-site either in Toronto or North Bay required.
