The Elevate for Women program is looking for a short term Outreach worker to assist in the recruitment of Newcomer women in the Region of Peel interested in Self-Employment and Employability Skills training.

The program aims to assist women in developing the necessary skills to enter the "Gig" economy while developing the necessary skills and knowledge to pursue their career goals.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Recruit 74 newcomer women by the end of May 202
Contact community agencies, cultural groups, community leaders, schools and places of worship to introduce the program
Create presentation material
Connect with other Achev offices and departments to introduce the program
Attend community networking events to recruit participants.
Attend fairs and other train shows
Register participations and handle orientation
Facilitate presentations, as needed

- must be able to travel to different locations
- must be able to create their own presentation materials and present them
- must be comfortable developing new business relationships and partnerships
- must have some experience in successfully recruiting participants for projects
- must be a self-starter and can work independently with mínimal supervision
- must be able to work evenings and weekends when needed
- a flexible schedule is an asset
- experience in a hybrid work atmosphere is an asset
- must be able to start immediately
