The VP will lead the Regulatory team and create a space of curiosity and creativity with a long-term view on producing the best results for business objectives.


Major Responsibilities:

  • Oversees and leads the Regulatory Team
  • Provides support to Corporate Affairs (Government Relations/Public Policy, Communications and Shareholder Relations), Total Rewards and any other business unit groups in developing ENMAX regulatory policy and advocacy positions to Government, MSA and AESO
  • Ensures development and implementation of effective Regulatory analysis and strategies in conjunction with the client business units
  • Ensures appropriate processes, systems and controls are consistently executed to satisfy regulatory requirements and education on these processes is delivered across ENMAX as necessary to ensure regulatory excellence
  • Coordinates with other utilities and applicants where their interests and those of ENMAX align, with a view to optimizing efficiency before the AUC and strengthening ENMAX's advocacy position through support from other interested parties
  • Develops and maintains key business relationships with key stakeholders and interveners relative to their involvement before the AUC
  • Ensures appropriate technical and functional competency is developed in the regulatory organization and succession planning is reviewed on a regular basisEducation Required:
  • An undergraduate degree in Business, Economics, Engineering and/or a Law Degree

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Experience in a leadership role, demonstrating the ability to lead and inspire teams
  • Experience in regulatory hearings

  • Ability to rapidly learn and assimilate complex information in less familiar situations and to systematically gather relevant information from different sources to address a problem or issue

Location:

This role will be part of our hybrid (home and office) work force with office workspace located at ENMAX Place th Avenue SE, Calgary, AB).

You will work from home on Mondays and Fridays and in the office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
