    Tools Sales & Service Representative

    Location: Edmonton, AB

    Currently we have an opening for a Tools Sales & Service Representative . The successful applicant will be responsible for the promotion, sales and technical support/testing of tool products offered to obtain maximum revenue, profitability, and market share in an assigned territory. A key aspect of the responsibility is building long-term customer relationships through a detailed understanding of the customer's business while promoting the range of Sandvik products to end users.

    What you will be doing

  • Develop sales opportunities for Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions (SMR) product lines within the defined territory.
  • Assess customers' total potential with SMR products. Perform opportunity analysis by customer and site.
  • Act as a key contact for account and liaise with appropriate personnel to communicate.
  • Provide input to Product Line Managers to address product offering.
  • Develop a sales plan for designated territory.
  • Maintain accurate customer records as prescribed by the Company.
  • Assist as required in any physical inventory counts (especially any consignment stocks).
  • Responsible for achievement budgeted revenue.
  • Ensure Customer is in compliance with SMR terms and conditions of sale.
  • Build long-term relationships with customer in assigned territory.
  • Provide the company with regular status reports on business activities, opportunity development.
  • Stay current with industry developments, competitive offerings and issues affecting sales and customers.
  • Other duties as assigned.

    • What you will bring along

  • Technical Degree (or two-year College Diploma).
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in rock tools servicing, sales experience is preferable.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the mining industry, specifically rock tools is considered an asset.
  • Previous knowledge or experience with Sandvik products is considered an asset.
  • Bilingual in both French and English considered an asset.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical/data analysis skills.
  • Computer literacy, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Software experience would be an asset.
  • Strong customer service focus.
  • Proactive with demonstrated initiative.
  • Valid driver's license with a safe driving record.
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 50 % of the time.
