    Description

    The **Senior Manager, Manufacturing** role is all about ensuring the day-to-day manufacturing operation runs smoothly. From supervising direct labor to managing the batch schedule, this position plays a critical role in keeping things on track. This job requires overseeing safety compliance, communicating with various departments, and ensuring procedures are followed diligently. Are you up for the challenge?

    Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Ensure staff receives top-notch training in Safety and Quality
    • Guarantee compliance with safety codes and standards set by OSHA and FDA
    • Collaborate with the Bulk Planner for scheduling manufacturing tasks
    • Investigate any operational hiccups and prepare detailed reports
    • Implement corrective measures to prevent defects or contamination
    • Drive regular meetings with maintenance to enhance equipment uptime
    • Report incidents and safety concerns promptly
    • Suggest and implement process improvements
    • Handle employee disciplinary actions when necessary
    • Contribute to scaling batch sizes to meet demand
    • Coordinate equipment purchases and ensure timely launches
    • Liaise with technical support teams for new products and technologies

    Working Relationships/Key Stakeholders:

    • Maintain daily communication with key departments for optimal coordination
    • Collaborate closely with various teams including Quality, Warehouse, and Engineering
    • Work closely with cross-functional departments for successful project launches
    • Focus on operational efficiency and waste reduction
    • Ensure quality standards are upheld throughout the manufacturing process
    • Optimize vendor relationships and inventory management
    • Manage Manufacturing budget effectively

    Qualifications & Competencies:

    • Hold a four-year degree in physical sciences or engineering
    • Bring at least 5 years of experience in supervising batch manufacturing operations
    • Demonstrate expertise in cGMP and industry-specific knowledge
    • Possess strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
    • Show leadership qualities and a desire to lead
    • Proficient in MS Office applications
    • Ability to conduct root cause analysis effectively
