    Job Description

  • Lead the development and implementation of BIW Automatic process equipment, tools and related facilities for new model assembly production
  • Drive continuous improvement into the processes and equipment while meeting the cost and timing requirements of the program
  • Directly report to manufacturing process engineers who lead the development of the BIW assembly process creation and tooling for new vehicle launches
  • Interface with multiple organizations (Product Engineering, Vehicle Assembly, Quality, etc.) to understand components/subsystems for vehicles
  • Use information obtained to generate process sheets, assembly layouts, installation tooling as well as special manufacturing requirements
  • Lead Process Failure Modes & Effects Analysis (PFMEA) activities with the platform team for new/critical processes.
  • Perform employee evaluation and coaching

    • Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering.
  • +10 years of engineering experience in manufacturing.
  • Vehicle manufacturing experience
  • Proven program/project management skills.
  • Ability to effectively work and interact at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with proficient presentation and organizational abilities.
  • Demonstrated leadership and problem-solving capabilities.
