Job Opening:
Hybrid/Remote Project Manager/Steel Estimator

Our team is growing, and Marcon Metalfab () is hiring an experienced Hybrid or Fully Remote Project Manager/Steel Estimator to join our dynamic team based in Delta's Tilbury Park.

Due to the technical and project management skills required for this position, all hybrid/remote applicants must have at least 7 years of experience in a similar role within the steel fabrication industry.

We are located in Tilbury Industrial Park in Delta BC, with four ways to get here - the Massey Tunnel, Alex Fraser Bridge, South Fraser Perimeter Rd., and Hwy 99.

Responsibilities:
# Estimate steel projects and develop clear and detailed project scope for the customer.
# Maintain current customer relationships.
# Communicate with customers to set realistic deadlines for the completion of work.
# Understand plans and specifications to identify the types and grades of materials and processes required to ensure compliance with project requirements.
# Maintain a daily critical jobs schedule and keep shop management informed.
# Verify job costing as needed.

Skills and Qualifications:
~ Estimating experience of $4-6 million annually.
~ Managing Steel fabrication project experience of at least $5 million annually.
~ Must be able to estimate steel projects and develop clear and detailed project scope for the customer.
~7+ years of steel fabrication knowledge.
~7+ years experience estimating for miscellaneous steel fabrication.
~ Highly proficient at performing math and weight calculations.
~ Highly proficient at estimating the fabrication labour.
~ Proficient at reading engineering, architectural, and other construction drawings and specifications.
~ Understanding of steel fabrication process, steel grades, fastener grades, connection requirements, coating types, fabrication procedures, and installation requirements.
~ Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and written and verbal communication skills.
~ Strong computer literacy and use of MS Office programs.
~ Experience managing projects from award to completion.
~ PMP certification or other PMing certification is an asset.
