SUMMARY:


The Royal Canadian Yacht Club is a world class yacht club with a mandate to promote excellence in sailing and sports.

Located in a unique atmosphere on the Toronto Islands; the Club consists of an active, welcoming community of sailors, like-minded individuals and staff who share an interest in sport and tradition.

The RCYC operates year-round from two facilities: our summer home at the Island Clubhouse and our City Clubhouse in downtown Toronto at St George and Bloor.

With over 4000 Members we have extensive services in Food and Beverage along with Fitness, Sports and Sailing facilities.


THE ROLE:


Reporting to the Director of Membership and Marketing and working as part of the Membership team, the Member Services Coordinator is responsible for the administration of the monthly Appendix, responding to Member inquiries in a professional manner, and other related duties as assigned by the Director of Membership and Marketing.


RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Attends and takes Minutes at monthly Membership Committee meetings.
  • Responsible for Members' requests with category changes and password resets.
  • Responsible for the tracking of all the Member category changes i.e., upgrades, resignations, and deaths in the monthly Appendix and in the Jonas Club Management software.
  • Issuing of Membership cards for Members, Staff, Caregivers, and Contractors including the billing for Members' replacement cards.
  • Orders supplies for the department (Membership & Member Services).
  • Responsible for Member filing.
  • Assist with the Member database accuracy.
  • Produces annual voting list for the Corporate Secretary and assists with AGM registration.
  • Performs other tasks as assigned by the Director of Membership and Marketing.
  • Receptionist relief for breaks and lunches.

QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Post-Secondary related education or equivalent experience
  • Club experience preferred.
  • Jonas experience an asset.
  • General proficiency MS Office; advanced Excel & PowerPoint knowledge and experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

HOURS OF WORK:


  • Some evenings and weekend shifts may be required.
  • Standard business work week (5 days/40 hours)
