AGS is looking for a Compensation and Benefits Specialist to join our dynamic organization.


Job Summary:


The Corporate Compensation and Benefits Specialist is responsible for the effective and efficient delivery of duties and responsibilities as outlined below in accordance with AGS' cultural priorities and legal requirements.

The duties and responsibilities described are not a comprehensive list. The scope of the job may change as necessitated by business demands and other considerations.


Duties & Responsibilities

_ Health Benefits_

  • Review and manage all health benefit processes, ensuring appropriate business controls are in place to validate that the programs are being administered per the terms of the contracts.
  • Ensure all HR processes supporting the health benefits are properly documented (e.g. employee setups, changes, terminations, etc).
  • Perform monthly/quarterly audits on health benefit records with our service providers, reconciling data to our Dayforce and other internal systems
  • Responsible for reviewing and validating Canadian health benefit monthly invoices (HSP), and confirming the accuracy and completeness of employee charges/records with plant HR
  • Interface with our service providers to implement approved changed to employee health benefit offerings as required, example, changes from CBA negotiations.
  • Conduct ongoing education/training to the HR team on health benefit processes
  • Interface with service providers on a regular basis to review monthly/quarterly reports, perform periodic audits, review invoices, etc.
  • Conduct quarterly reviews with plant HR teams on the 'inactive' list to ensure timing updates to their health benefit plans
  • Responsible for supporting the Corporate Managers in addressing disability programs (STD/LTD) for corporate salaried staff
  • Leadership in supporting plant HR with disability programs, ensuring processes are understood and managed effectively
  • Manage quarterly health benefits reviews with Corp HR & Finance Management (CFO) to present yeartodate spending reports, findings of quarterly audits and controls review, etc.
  • Lead the annual renewal processes including reviewing the proposals with the service providers, partnering with Finance on costings and preparing the renewal presentation for senior management.
  • Leadership role in implementing any changes to systems and/or service providers as part of the annual renewal evaluation.
  • Support AGS USA through their annual open enrollment process.
  • Communicate to Corporate Payroll the new health benefit rates for Corporate Payroll to update in Dayforce (Canada and US).
  • Conduct research on market trends in health benefits to assess the competitiveness of the company's health benefit plans, including recommending proposed changes to the programs.

Retirement Benefit Plans (Group Savings Plans - DPSP/RRSP; 401K)

  • Responsible for publishing quarterly employee communications for Group Savings Plans, partnering with the company's service providers
  • Interface with Group Savings Plan service providers to review available employee training/communication webinars and promote these sessions to employees
  • Responsible for retraining of plant HR personnel on eligibility rule and timeline to communicate new hire enrollment to Corporate Payroll (after reaching any required waiting period). This relates to Canadian DPSP/RRSP plans.
  • Participate in the review of the governance processes for the savings plans, including participating in the review of legislative changes with our service providers
  • Partner with AGS USA's HR team to assess the scope of the 401K plan, including evaluating eligibility rules. Review results of Finance's annual 401K reporting.
  • Support the administration tasks of the DB plan as required.

Compensation

  • Conduct reviews of the company's compensation programs, evaluating programs against market trends. This includes assessment of wages, vacation policy, company holidays, etc.
  • Validate weekly OT sheets for Canadian salaried employees prior to submitting to Corporate Payroll for processing
  • Review and publish compensation trend reports as appropriate (e.g. overtime for salary staff)
  • Support the annual salar
