    Description

    Job Title: Data Architect

    Job Type: Full time Permanent, Hybrid

    Location: North York

    Our client in the healthcare industry is looking for a very senior Data Architect who can lead enterprise-wide data architecture efforts as well as guide the architecture within the team as their team is growing.

    Key Requirements:

    • Contributing to data management standards, policies, and guidelines, while designing and documenting data architecture from both business and systems perspectives.
    • Creating data roadmaps, ensuring solution data architectures are compatible with existing and future frameworks, and provide expertise during system development.
    • Leading the design, implementation, and maintenance of data models and schemas is essential, as is conducting stakeholder reviews and mediating between project stakeholders.
    • Using reverse engineering techniques to understand and document existing architectures, ensuring governance and quality in data asset usage.
    • Assisting in project planning, communicating the value of data management, and supporting both short-term and long-term data architecture strategies.
    • Anticipating future data needs, providing thought leadership, and staying informed on technological trends.

    Qualifications

    • A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, data science, or a related field is required
    • Cloud (GCP) and data management/enterprise architecture certifications is highly preferable
    • You should have over 10 years of experience in data architecture, demonstrating creativity in adapting best practices to company realities.
    • Strong strategic vision and tactical planning skills, broad technical qualifications, and proficiency in method-driven design approaches.
    • A comprehensive understanding of the software development lifecycle, effective leadership, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to resolve conflicts.
