    Data Architect
    On behalf of our client, Procom is seeking a Data Architect
    Data Architect-Responsibilities

    • Participate in the One Page Initiative analysis, evaluation and development of longterm strategic and operational plans to ensure that the Enterprise Data Architecture objectives are consistent with the Porter's longterm business objectives.
    • Define and set the data architecture framework, standards, and principles, including modelling, metadata, security, reference data and master data.
    • Create Data Lineage Diagrams and design the overall architecture for data flows within the organization, including identification of Data Producers and Consumers.
    • Define data flows patterns for different data integration scenarios and design infrastructure and processes to manage data flow with appropriate data integration tool standards and data transfer protocols.
    • Manage technical aspects of data elements in Data Dictionary to help bridge the gap between business terminology and technical implementation and contribute to Data Catalog and Business Glossary management
    • Create and maintain the Future State Data Architecture and actively contribute to the evolution of the Analytics Architecture by closely cooperating with Analytics Leaders and other Architects.
    • Contribute to creation of Data Strategy and Data Modernization roadmap.
    • Assess current and design new data platform capabilities (data ingestion, data storage, data analytics, data processing, data integration, data security and data governance)
    • Ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data assets by designing and implementing robust data related security measures, policies, and procedures.
    • Prepare and timely present welldesigned, welldocumented solutions at an Architecture Review Board, register exceptions made to the Architecture Standards and ensure timely review and follow up is done by business and Technology management.
    • Design robust, scalable, and highperforming database solutions that meet the evolving needs of modern applications and provide data at the speed of business
    • Administer the data architecture repositories and ensure the architecture meets the Porter Modelling Standards.
    • Build and Groom Data Architecture Backlog
    • Participates in Porter Data Governance Council meetings to provide expertise and guidance on data governance and data management issues.
    • Collaborate actively with project managers/scrum masters, on Jira ticket prioritization, platform release planning, roadmap and schedule management.
    • Provide input to RFPs and evaluate Third-Party Product/Services to ensure they fit Data and Analytics Target State, meet Porter data management requirements and business needs
    • Ensure Data is secure, compliant with relevant laws and regulations, and managed according to company policies and standards.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and deliver data literacy training and education programs for employees across the organization.
    Data Architect-Must Have Skills

    10+ years - designing and building database systems, data warehouses, reporting and analytics platforms, data integrations, using cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).


    • Customer Engagement platform (Braze strongly preferred)
    3. 7+ years - event-driven data architectures using (Apache Kafka, Amazon Kinesis, or Azure Event Hubs)

    • Micro-services architecture principles, API design and container orchestration technologies.
    5. 7+ years - designing data platform capabilities for collecting, processing, and analyzing real-time, streaming data.
    6. 5+ years - Agile development + JIRA/Trello for planning and tracking team work.

    • Data integration, master data management, high availability and data recovery patterns.
    • Micro-services architecture principles, API design and container orchestration technologies.
    • Database performance baselines and data flow optimization
    • Experience with AWS services (S3, Redshift, RDS, EC2, Kinesis, Lambda) Java, Python and Microsoft SSIS representing our current technology stack

    Data Architect-Nice to have:
    1.

    7+ years of experience implementing Customer Data Platforms, CRM platforms, Workflow, Enterprise Document Management and decision management platforms is an asset.


    • Experience in using and administering Architecture modelling and analysis tools, Architecture Archimate and TOGAF certification is an asset
    • Travel or airline industry experience is an asset
