- Serve as a primary point of contact for students seeking academic support and guidance, providing personalized assistance and referrals as needed.
- Coordinate and oversee student services programs, including tutoring, academic advising, and student success workshops.
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to identify students' academic needs and develop strategies to address them effectively.
- Develop and implement initiatives to enhance student engagement, retention, and success, such as peer mentoring programs or academic enrichment activities.
- Provide academic counseling and support to students facing academic challenges or in need of special accommodations.
- Monitor students' academic progress and intervene proactively to provide additional support or resources as necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of student interactions, program participation, and outcomes for reporting and evaluation purposes.
- Stay informed about best practices in student services, academic support, and student development to continually improve programs and services.
- Master's degree in education, counseling, student affairs, or a related field preferred.
- Previous experience in student services, academic advising, or related roles within higher education.
- Strong understanding of student development theory, academic support strategies, and best practices in student services.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, faculty, and staff.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and the capacity to effectively manage programs and initiatives.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a diverse team and across various departments.
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in supporting all students' success.
