Job brief
We are looking for Marketing and Communications Assistant to join our team. This position is an 8 month temporary role with the posibility of extension.

This role is multi-faceted and would involve providing support for large existing projects, as well as managing small-scale projects, where available.

Responsibilities

Support marketing and communication efforts
Prepare first drafts of press releases, social media posts, presentations and other writing materials
Participate in team meetings, notetaking
Organize and maintain marketing and communications folders on SharePoint
Monitor the web and social media channels for trending industry news
Research and develop new ideas for social media content
Support virtual and inperson events
Responsible for maintaining and updating awards and events calendar relevant to HTEC
Support team with designing and creating marketing materials
Assist with daily administrative duties

Requirements:

Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite
Familiarity with social media platforms
Familiarity with Wordpress and Google Analytics is an asset
Interest and skilled in content creation
Strong organizational and creative skills
