    Job Title: General Counsel (GC)

    Tri-Mach is currently seeking a dynamic and experienced General Counsel to join our legal team. In this key role, you will lead our legal department, providing strategic guidance and overseeing all legal matters within the organization. As the General Counsel, you will play a vital role in shaping our business strategies, ensuring legal compliance, and managing risk effectively.

    The ideal candidate will not only be a legal expert but also a strategic business partner, actively contributing to our growth and long-term success. With a focus on legal compliance and risk management, you will lead a team of legal professionals and drive the department's strategic direction.

    Position Responsibilities:

    • Legal Strategy: Develop and execute the company's legal strategy to align with business goals and safeguard interests.
    • Compliance: Ensure adherence to relevant laws and regulations in the food, beverage, and pharmaceutical sectors.
    • Contract Management: Oversee contract negotiations, drafting, and reviews.
    • Intellectual Property and Trademarks: Safeguard and manage the company's intellectual property assets.
    • Litigation Management: Handle legal disputes, litigation, and regulatory matters.
    • Corporate Governance: Provide guidance on governance matters and policy compliance.
    • Safety and Risk Management: Identify and mitigate legal risks effectively.
    • Labor and Employment: Manage employment law issues and enhance employee relations.
    • Data Privacy: Ensure compliance with data security regulations.
    • Regulatory Affairs: Stay informed on industry regulations affecting the company.
    • Mergers and Acquisitions: Participate in legal aspects of strategic transactions.

    Qualifications And Experience Required

    • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and active membership in the Law Society of Ontario
    • Minimum of 10-15 years of relevant legal experience, with a preference for technology or manufacturing sector background and at least 5 years as a GC in Canada.
    • Strong knowledge of contracts, intellectual property, and safety laws.
    • Proven track record in leading legal teams and managing complex legal issues.
    • Strong leadership, negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
    • Ability to collaborate with diverse teams and offer strategic legal counsel to senior management.
