    Description
    MBC Group offers a job opportunity and seeks an environmental technician to join its environmental team in Edmonton, Alberta. You will be supported by experienced technicians, project managers, and senior team members and leaders.
    Conduct field work, manage assigned projects, and prepare technical environmental reports.
    Consult and support hazardous building material assessment projects.
    Monitoring during hazardous building material remediation projects.
    Air Quality Monitoring.
    Prepare quotations and proposals for projects and bids.
    Participate in customer training programs.
    A diploma in environmental, building sciences, industrial hygiene, or an environmental-related field.
    A minimum of one year experience in the environmental, safety, abatement, construction, insurance, or restoration industry.
    Experience in Asbestos, Hazmat, IAQ projects, and field consulting.
    Certification in Water Damage Restoration, Fire Damage Restoration, and/ or Microbial Remediation.

    Demonstrated competency in the following areas: verbal and written communication, technical report writing, client relations, coordination and prioritization of workload, and Microsoft Office Suite.

    Pass a respirator fit test.
    A valid driver's license and own a reliable vehicle.
    This position is approximately 80% field work, and 20% office-based with travel across Alberta and across Western Canada.
