    Job Summary

    The Senior Acquisition Account Executive sells Equinix solutions to new accounts within a complex scope. Focus on larger domestic and global accounts. Leads negotiation process, and leads extended sales team on complex multi-region / multi-metro sales.

    Responsibilities

    • Viewed as an expert in the field with wide-ranging experience
    • Uses professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways
    • Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors

    Prospecting

    • Partners with other Sales stakeholders to strategize and lead sales opportunity qualification
    • Pursues highest propensity prospects with no current revenue and fills the funnel with opportunities while pitching prospects primarily at C-level and leveraging industry contacts and partners
    • Actively prospects account base to sell global platform and achieves exports outside of country
    • Builds relationships with key stakeholders at prospect companies
    • Utilizes available tools to prospect new opportunities

    Leverage Internal & External Partners

    • Leads sales approach with the extended sales teams and external partners
    • Collaborates with global sales team to sell global Equinix platform
    • Demonstrates consistent cross region exports
    • Understands business drivers of accounts and leverages strategic alliances and reseller partners to penetrate new accounts
    • Networks with key contacts outside own area of expertise

    Account Planning

    • Researches and documents detailed understanding of customer business and organizational landscape on high priority prospects
    • Exercises judgement in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results
    • Effectively transitions account to Account Manager, maintaining customer satisfaction to ensure future revenue growth

    Solution Selling

    • Responsible for large, complex, high visibility, strategic, or tactically important accounts
    • Identifies customer's business needs, challenges, and technical requirements to match to Equinix solutions in partnership with Sales Engineers (SEs) and Sales Architects (SAs)
    • Leading delivery of pitch, leveraging SE/SAs where appropriate; adapts pitch to customer needs and persona
    • Proven proficiency of Equinix product set and solutions
    • Sells full suite of Equinix offerings to include global footprint and achieves exports
    • Leverages external partners to drive solution development in new areas/prospects

    Pipeline Management

    • Actively monitors and maintains status of opportunities in SalesForce Database, following the principles of forecasting while using wide-ranged advanced experience to resolve complex issues

    Territory Planning

    • Prioritizes list of prospects for short and long-term pursuit to achieve assigned sales objectives
    • Provides accurate forecasts
    • May focus on a particular vertical or sub-vertical within a dedicated sector

    Negotiation

    • Leads commercial offer and contract negotiations, leveraging internal resources as needed to obtain the best commercial terms possible
    • Understands commercial levers and problem solves to make initial recommendations on deal structure
    • Partners with Sales leadership to present at regional deal review

    Mentorship / Lead

    • Determines methods & procedures on new assignments; may coordinate project work for others
    • Mentors Account Executives or other sales professionals; leads special projects, provides guidance to team on new products/processes/best practices

    Qualifications

    • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of related experience or equivalent work experience.

    Le chargé de compte principal aux acquisitions vend des solutions Equinix à de nouveaux clients dans un cadre complexe. Ses fonctions sont axées sur les grands clients nationaux et internationaux.     · S'associe à d'autres parties prenantes des Ventes pour élaborer des stratégies et diriger la qualification des occasions de vente

    · Fait diverses propositions aux clients potentiels les mieux prédisposés qui ne génèrent pas de revenu et sollicite les autres clients potentiels, principalement en s'adressant à leur direction, en tirant parti de contacts et de partenaires de l'industrie

    · Communique activement avec la clientèle pour lui vendre la plateforme mondiale, notamment à l'étranger

    · Établit des rapports avec des intervenants clés au sein de clients potentiels

    · Utilise les outils à sa disposition pour explorer de nouvelles possibilités

    Mise à profit des partenaires internes et externes

    · Encadre l'approche de vente auprès des équipes des ventes élargies et des partenaires externes

    · Collabore avec l'équipe des ventes mondiale à la vente de la plateforme mondiale Equinix

    · Réalise régulièrement des exportations d'une région à l'autre

    · Comprend les moteurs commerciaux des clients et tire parti d'alliances stratégiques et de partenaires de revente pour obtenir de nouveaux clients

    · Réseaute avec des intervenants clés hors de son aire d'expertise

    Planification client

    Vente de solutions

    · Prend en charge des clients d'envergure, complexes, à forte visibilité, stratégiques ou revêtant une importance tactique

    · Établit les besoins, les défis et les exigences techniques auxquels doivent répondre les solutions d'Equinix, en collaboration avec les ingénieurs commerciaux (SE) et architectes commerciaux (SA)

    · Dirige les offres de vente, avec l'aide des SE et SA s'il y a lieu; adapte son offre aux besoins et à l'image des clients

    · Démontre une maîtrise de l'ensemble des produits et des solutions d'Equinix

    · Vend la gamme entière des produits d'Equinix afin d'assurer une implantation mondiale, et réalise des exportations

    · Tire parti de partenaires externes pour stimuler la création de solutions dans de nouveaux domaines et à l'égard de clients prospectifs

    Gestion des perspectives

    · Contrôle et tient à jour le statut des occasions dans la base de données SalesForce à la lumière des principes de la prévision, tout en utilisant son expérience approfondie et diversifiée pour résoudre des problèmes complexes

    Planification du territoire

    · Priorise la liste de clients prospectifs à solliciter à court et long terme afin de réaliser les objectifs de vente

    · Fait des prévisions correctes

    · Peut se concentrer sur un secteur ou sous-secteur vertical particulier dans un domaine dédié

    Négociation

    · Dirige la négociation d'offres commerciales et de contrats en tirant parti, au besoin, de ressources internes pour obtenir les meilleures conditions commerciales possible

    · Comprend les leviers commerciaux et résout des problèmes afin de pouvoir présenter des recommandations initiales sur la structure d'opérations

    · S'associe à la direction des Ventes pour faire des présentations lors des revues régionales des opérations

    Mentorat / Direction

    · Établit les méthodes et procédures relatives aux nouveaux mandats et, éventuellement, pourrait coordonner le travail d'autrui dans le cadre de projets

    · Guide les chargés de compte ou d'autres professionnels des ventes; dirige des projets spéciaux, donne à l'équipe des directives à propos de nouveaux produits, processus et pratiques exemplaires

    Qualifications

    · Nécessite normalement un baccalauréat et au moins huit ans d'expérience connexe ou d'expérience de travail équivalente.
