We are seeking a Site Security Guard with demonstrated ability to observe and maintain site security, a primary responsibility for this role.


PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Access control for the facility / area during nighttime hours
  • Operate / monitor facility security equipment
  • Present a polished, professional, customer friendly image
  • Patrolling and following protocols, which may include indoor or outdoor patrols.
  • Ensure that the facility's safety and emergency procedures are followed in response to fire alarms and other site Emergencies
  • Undertake site specific training, follow direction and guidance from Site Supervisor or Client Services Manager
  • Demonstrate judgement, common sense and decisionmaking ability, particularly when required to take charge and direct others in emergencies or other incidents
  • Meticulous record keeping, report writing, observation skills excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage conflicts and incidents and to deescalate

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Valid Ontario Provincial Security Guard license
  • Minimum High school education / equivalence
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Knowledge of computers and computer programs
  • Advanced report writing and note taking abilities
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Possess a Canadian passport and be eligible to work in Canada

Night hours, 3 shifts per week, weekends, 12 hour shifts
