We are seeking a Site Security Guard with demonstrated ability to observe and maintain site security, a primary responsibility for this role.
PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Access control for the facility / area during nighttime hours
- Operate / monitor facility security equipment
- Present a polished, professional, customer friendly image
- Patrolling and following protocols, which may include indoor or outdoor patrols.
- Ensure that the facility's safety and emergency procedures are followed in response to fire alarms and other site Emergencies
- Undertake site specific training, follow direction and guidance from Site Supervisor or Client Services Manager
- Demonstrate judgement, common sense and decisionmaking ability, particularly when required to take charge and direct others in emergencies or other incidents
- Meticulous record keeping, report writing, observation skills excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage conflicts and incidents and to deescalate
QUALIFICATIONS
- Valid Ontario Provincial Security Guard license
- Minimum High school education / equivalence
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Knowledge of computers and computer programs
- Advanced report writing and note taking abilities
- Excellent customer service skills
- Possess a Canadian passport and be eligible to work in Canada

Night hours, 3 shifts per week, weekends, 12 hour shifts
