    Public Relations Associate

    Winnipeg MB R2W 2N1 Website: Organizational Description: Furniture Bank Volunteer Opportunity Details Volunteer Opportunity ID: 3921 Description of Duties: Under the direction and supervision of the Volunteer Coordinator, the Public Relations Associate will be responsible for building and maintaining a positive image for Oyate Tipi Cumini Yape.You will be in charge of establishing and maintaining relationships with clients, community, employee, and partner organizations by writing written correspondence and other media communications, responding to requests for information, and coaching client representatives in the correct way of communicating with the public and with clients. Skills Required: To be successful in this role, you will need excellent written and verbal communication skills. Previous experience in working with the public through written and oral communication is an asset. Knowledge of promoting on social media. Skills Gained/Related Careers: CPR/First Aid Training, WHMIS, Non-violent Conflict Management, and Personal Protective Equipment protocols. Age: 18-30, 31-54 Time Commitment: Daytime
    two- three hour shifts per week. Location of volunteer opportunity: Winnipeg Does opportunity require a criminal record check? Yes
