Description

Creates purchase orders and issues purchase requests to vendors, suppliers, and toll manufacturing partners.
Submits inter-company orders (Interco's) as required for finished goods.
Engages vendors and suppliers for restocking as directed.
Explains any cost variances between issued PO's and vendor invoices as required.
Follows and aligns procurement processes.

Inventory Management:

Virtually receives purchased goods into appropriate warehouses with delivery confirmation.
Provides monthly reconciliation of inventory stored at tolling sites based on physical counts.

Toll Manufacturing:

Issues purchase orders as finished goods become available.
Completes production orders in Lallemand's ERP system.
Maintains close relations with toll manufacturing partners.

Technical skills

Required

Procurement and sourcing techniques
Familiarity with manufacturing processes
Experience with Microsoft Suite of products (emphasis on Excel).

An asset

Demand planning techniques
Understanding of proper handling and storage of living microorganisms

Personal abilities

Aptitude in decision-making and working with numbers
