    Description

    Your Opportunity:

    • The Adult Community Services Churchill Square Clinic offers a wide range of addiction and mental health treatment to residents of Edmonton and surrounding areas.
    • The program follows Edmonton Zone Addiction & Mental Health Principles of Care, ensuring quality, client-focused, recovery-based services.
    • Services provided are culturally appropriate and include assessment, individual and group treatment, and consultation.
    • As a Mental Health Therapist (MHT) at this clinic, you will work with an interdisciplinary team to deliver treatment and case management to clients with various clinical needs.
    • Key responsibilities include assessment, treatment, and evaluation of care plans for clients with complex addiction and mental health issues.
    • The ideal candidate should possess a strong understanding of addiction and mental health, be skilled in navigating the health system, and manage a large caseload efficiently.
    • Knowledge of mental health legislation, including the Alberta Mental Health Act and Community Treatment Orders (CTO), is essential.

    Description:

    • As a Mental Health Therapist, you will utilize various treatment modalities to help individuals facing significant mental health challenges.
    • You will provide crisis intervention, assessment, consultation, referral, case management, and treatment, both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Master's degree in Psychology; master's degree in Social Work (clinical specialization) with education in mental health assessment and psychotherapy; or master's/bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy with relevant training and experience.
    • Active or eligible for registration with the applicable Alberta regulatory college.

    Additional Required Qualifications: Preferred Qualifications:

    • Extensive knowledge of resources in Addiction and Mental Health and the local community.
    • Familiarity with mental health legislation, including Community Treatment Orders, is advantageous.
