    Our #1 value at Canfor isSafety and we make no exceptions in its pursuit. Our Safety Advisors play a huge role in the day-to-day safe operations of our Mills. In this role, you will engage in confined space rescue, fire response, first aid calls, incident investigations, emergency response planning, and other activities throughout your shift and your career. This position is for a temporary 1-year contract, working 12-hour shifts.

    A day in the life of our Safety Advisor will also include:

    • Regularly inspecting safety equipment and fire systems throughout the mill
    • Actively participating in emergency response crews
    • Oversight and utilization of loss prevention equipment

    For this role, you'll come equipped with:

    • A results-oriented individual with the ability to work independently
    • You will possess a valid WCB Occupational First Aid Ticket Level III (at minimum) and have strong computer skills.
    • Superior interpersonal skills along with well-developed verbal and written communication skills and a team-spirited approach
    • Security, fire/rescue, and hazardous materials response experience would be considered assets.

    The salary range for this position is: $67,000 - $84,000.

    Please Note: The range provided is for base salary only. In addition to base salary, Canfor proudly offers its employees a comprehensive and competitive total rewards package.
