    Join a top employer and advance your career. Aplin has partnered with a Edmonton-based company to hire a Accounting Technician for a 3 month Contract Apply below if you are interested

    Responsibilities:

    • Maintain and update financial records, including ledgers, journals, and financial statements.
    • Manage and process invoices, payments, and collections. Ensure accurate and timely processing of accounts payable and receivable transactions.
    • Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure all financial records are accurate and up-to-date.
    • Assist in monitoring budgets and expenditures, providing regular reports to management.
    • Moneris Refunds:
      • Review refund requests from front line staff to ensure they are completed correctly.
      • Search database for transactions that are flagged in refund requests and cross-reference with tracked refunds to date to ensure refunds are not duplicated.
      • Finalize service tickets for refunds and send them to Accounts Payable for processing.
    • Vendor Payments:
      • Assist in transitioning vendors from cheque payments to Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT).
      • Handle other Accounts Payable duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    • Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A bachelor's degree is preferred.
    • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
    • Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
    • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
