YOUR ROLE

YOUR IMPACT

  • As the Marketing and Communications Generalist, you will help GroupHEALTH's marketing team achieve excellence with your superior multitasking skills, cando spirit, superb teamwork, and love of variety.
  • You work within the marketing team to deliver bestinclass service to our internal and external clients and help deliver special projects and events on time and on budget.
  • You will support the delivery of marketing and communications campaigns.
  • You will provide daytoday marketing support to internal and external stakeholders, and is often their first point of contact in the marketing team.
  • You will provide Project Management oversight (scheduling, task management and tracking, and project communication)

What to Expect:


30 Days:

  • Learn Marketing team operational processes, including queue and vendor management
  • Understand how your role contributes to GroupHEALTH's vision and mission
  • Learn GroupHEALTH's people processes, and complete your corporate onboarding
  • Shadow the members of the Marketing team, to understand their needs and deliverables
  • Establish coaching and direction routines with the Senior Manager, Marketing & Communications

60 Days:

  • Master the Marketing team's queue management and vendor management processes, including making suggestions to improve key processes
  • Meet with key stakeholders outside the Marketing team, to understand their needs and deliverables

90 Days:

  • Initiate at least one new process to improve Marketing team efficiency
  • Meet with all key vendors to understand their role
  • Deliver to completion at least five requests from internal clients
  • Complete the first two CEBS elearning modules to become familiar with the Group Benefits sector

THIS IS YOU

  • 2 years' experience in a Marketing Coordinator or Generalist role with no insurance background, or an insurance professional with at least 23 years of experience seeking their first marketing role.
  • Postsecondary education with a focus on Marketing preferred, but not required.
  • Proficient at recognizing, writing, and editing effective brand & product copy
  • Proficient with the concepts that drive effective print design & layout
  • Proficient with how to use the Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign and Photoshop
  • Expert at using MS Office and Adobe Acrobat to create high quality, highimpact pieces
  • Proficient at using productivity software, including purchase order and promo item ordering systems

THIS IS NICE

  • Familiar with how to use data to segment, analyze, and understand customers and markets
  • Familiar with the strategies, tactics and techniques to reach the right market with the right messages using the right medium at the right moment.
